Re: Sinus Infection — I had a sinus infection that was on one side of my face. I think that tripped off the trigeminal neuralgia.

Re: Dental Implant — I have suffered from Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia for 9 years. Mine started after a dental implant that was placed improperly. I have constant, burning, pulsing, shooting pain on the upper right side of my jaw. It is, without a doubt, the most intense, horrific pain I have ever experienced (I have given birth to 2 children and that pain doesn't compare to this). It took 2 years to get a diagnosis and another year to find a combination of medications that helps but I still have bad days where the pain is unbearable.
