who I can 'help in differential diagnosis to understand a problem, despite that two visiting ophthalmologists (hurt and quickly and without even listening to me) have NOT been able to understand? All started in June 2011 with the inside of the lower lid ONLY red right eye does not itch or swelling, or wept, or there were residual or others, only without flushing symptoms (eye doctor first diagnoses of blepharitis). Authored by the steroid and antibiotic eye ointment, then back to August and again in December 2011, more and more redness of inner eyelid and right eye only. (other diagnosis blepharoconjunctivitis). Try again with antibiotic ointment with cortisonics for a week but nothing, I pause and start with antihistamine eye drops and ONLY two days after I get a chalazion them! (And you think a sett.con AFTER the usual cream!). The possible reddening of June (six months) was the beginning of the chalazion or an allergy or what was due according to your clinical experience?
I only repeat right eye, just inside the eyelid redness and no other symptoms and / or disturbo.Possibile meibomite was a rear that has facilitated the genesis of chalazion? I read in a document, University Of Genoa, which could be "Type V seborrheic blepharitis with meibomite" what do you think? The inner eyelid redness ONLY thing to do 'think? Really blepharitis, chalazion or meibomite or early? Now I see two dots in the upper eyelid! I do use artificial tears or compresses with water and mild shampoo, what do I do? Thanks a lot.

Re: Antifungal Cream — I have not tried this but it cured the problem according to NIH research I found. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16249768) There are several types of Blepharitis. One type, seborrheic blepharitis, may actually be caused by fungal growth. In this case a two week treatment of topical ketoconazole (Nizoral) cured the patient. This 29 year old man had tried other treatments some of which helped, but symptoms returned after treatment stopped. He was symptom free for 5 months after the 2 week treatment with the antifungal cream.
