Migraine-Fibromyalgia Research
The importance of this finding is that using only self-reported data, we have found an association between migraine and fibromyalgia that has previously been explored only in clinical studies such as:
1. 22% of female patients with migraine were found to also have fibromyalgia. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16556247
2. Migraine, fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety were found to form a “comorbidity constellation”. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17578536
3. Fibromyalgia is increasingly prevalent with increased headache frequency. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19170692
