I actually had started back up on my BC, and should have been done bleeding. I went to change my tampon and had horrible pain inserting it. I waiting about a minute and couldn't stand the pain, so i went and took it out, which took over 5 minutes for me to do. When i got it out, it was covered in fresh blood, when normally my periods are old dark blood. I went to the Dr the next morning, and she tested me for anything and everything, gave me an internal anti-inflammatory cream to use, along with pain killers. a week later i found out about the staph infection. From that point forward, i have horrible pain, especially during sex.. i almost always bled too. I kept going to the Dr for ultrasounds, blood work, and more swabs.. after roughly 2 years of pain, they decided it was vulvadynia, and sent me to a physical therapist who specialized in women's health. I still have pain because i stopped going to PT. I still have horrible pain during sex, and get very swollen.
