Re: Elevated serum ferritin — If your serum ferritin is high, then you may have a hereditary condition called Hemochromatosis which leads to the pancreas, liver, and kidneys oxidizing, literally *rusting*, which leads to diabetes, liver disease, and kidney diseases such as gout.

Re: Cholestyramine — Cured of Hepatitis C genotype 1a at stage 2+ liver damage in 2004 with Alpha-interferon and ribavirin treatment for 13 months. No detectable virus at this time. My health is so much better. The treatment was tough, just before the newer meds became available, and I doubt I would willingly go through it again.
