I don't know if this is related to my LQTS but if it is, caffeine might be aggravating a potentially serious problem. pandemonica Re: Long QT interval on EKG — Long QT interval Syndrome (LQTS) is easily detected on EKG and may indicate an increased risk of sudden death due to the heart entering an arrythmia known as Torsade des Pointes. The QT interval may lenghten with age and other factors including genetic. If it becomes long enough the cardiologists will recommend a pacemaker.
