It is very important to recognize which co-infections you have, as the treatment for them requires different medications. Often we think we are herxing, relapsing or experiencing side effects to drugs when, in fact, it is another infection emerging and taking over. Herbs do not work on their own. Fighting lyme is a marathon, not a sprint. Be committed to a complete life style change forever.

Kristiana Re: Oral antibiotics — Took Tetracycline for over a year 1500mg to 2000mg and it did take away the aches, but let the spirochetes continue to attack my brain freely.
Kristiana Re: Bacterial infection — It's a 3 step attack - you have to kill the spirochetes, the co-infections and get to the spirochetes that form a biofilm to protect themselves when the antibiotics are loooking for it. The anti-malaria and anti-protozoan drugs will bust through the cell walls and get to those spirochetes that hide in cysts.
Kristiana Re: IV rocephin — was good but not as good as Clindamycin IV - helps with the brain and memory problems. Be careful with Rocephin, if you take it too long and don't take Actigal or Ursodiol to prevent gallstones, you will end up like I did and get a gallbladder attack!!! All you need is one of the two meds above and you'll be fine on Rocephin
