Re: The Marshall Protocol — I have been on the protocol for 5 years. It has definitely helped me get my life back. I still feel symptoms of disease, whether actual disease or herxheimer reactions....I do not know.

Re: Persistent cough — Hi, I was diagnosed in 2002 with pulmonary sarcoidosis and still live with the effects of damaged.scarred lungs due to this awful condition. This affects my exercise tolerance levels and I find this extremely frustrating as I used to be so physically active, enjoying all sports, and now some days even moderate walking can leave me exhausted and struggling for breath. I still see my consultant and g.p. regularly as I also suffer from recurring chest infections/bronchitis, which I am told will be an unfortunate side effect of this disease. Anyway enough doom and gloom, it could be worse couldn't it? Positivity reigns!!!! take care Linda.

Re: Persistent cough — I had all these problems prior to been diagnosed. 8yrs later not under the doctors am ok but still not hundred percent. I have problems with my bowels which I belive is in my case is the root cause with out sorting it I will always have sarcoidosis. Symptoms flare up when the structure of my rectum or in that area moves causing pain inflamation and pressing on the nerves affects my eyes but will anyone listen to me they just treat the Sarcoid and not look for the root cause. Fortunately mine is not as bad as some people. still get fatigue shortness of breath, heart palpitations and red, watery eyes when I get the pain my lower bowel.

Re: Avoid smoking — Well when I was very poorly prior to been diagnosed it was prednisone that got me better. Although am able to continue a normal life am still not hundred percent. I am seeking more natural herbal remedies now.

Re: Weight loss — I went undiagonosed for about 9 months in fact I was told it was all in my mind it was only when I went for an eye test that the optician spotted something that the hospital then took it seriously
