Chiropractor reset my hips, swimming a very recommended exercise
Re: Stretching — I initially thought this pain was caused by tight muscles, and tried to treat it by stretching. Stretching only made it worse. Eventually I realized the pain shooting from lower back to ankle on only one side was sciatica, and caused by nerves, not muscles. I still feel an instinctive need to stretch, even though it makes things worse.
Re: Fish oil — Fish oil got rid of my sciatica. I think it had to do with the anti-inflammatory effect of the omega 3s. I was taking a supplement with 400mg of EPA and 300mg of DHA per pill. And I was taking 12-14 pills a day.

It has also been suggest that I have piriforus syndrom, but not sure if that falls under sciatica. The injections have provided the most relief so far, however it seems to be wearing off. :(
