Avoiding sweets completely or almost completely (one tsp of raw honey/day), taking turmeric daily with egg yolks, coconut oil and pepper. Gluten free diet.

Re: Exercise — Swimming is really good for clearing inflammation, but I find it is just not possible to excercise when my Lupus is flaring so don't feel bad if you just physically can't. Swimming is really easy on the joints as well, and if you have raynouds phenomena it is nice and warm and then promotes circulation when you are resting.

Re: Quinacrine — I have been taking Quinacrine alongside Plaquenil and have so far prevented any flares, even when i got run down and would have normally become sick for 6-8 months. It also reduced the length of my last flare

Re: Low-fat, vegetarian diet — A diet high in vegetables and complex carbohydrates and low in fat has helped increase my energy level greatly. This plus avoiding processed foods and the most common food allergens produced the best blood work I've had since I was diagnosed.
